What is REBT?
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) developed by psychologist Albert Ellis in the 1950s. It is based on the idea that it is not events themselves that disturb people, but rather the beliefs they hold about those events.
REBT helps individuals identify irrational thoughts and beliefs, challenge them logically, and replace them with more rational, constructive thoughts — leading to healthier emotions and behaviors.
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy is a powerful therapeutic approach that empowers individuals to take control of their emotions by changing the way they think. By embracing rational beliefs and rejecting harmful irrational thoughts, people can lead more fulfilling and emotionally balanced lives.
