Person Centered Therapy
Person-Centered Therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, is a humanistic approach to psychotherapy that emphasizes the client’s ability to self-heal and grow. It’s based on the belief that people are inherently good and capable of making positive changes in their lives when provided with the right environment.
The therapist offers unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness, creating a safe, non-judgmental space. Rather than directing or diagnosing, the therapist listens and supports the client in discovering their own solutions.
This approach helps individuals build self-awareness, self-acceptance, and inner strength, making it especially effective for those struggling with self-esteem, identity, or emotional expression.
